Why This Site Will No Longer Do Mortgage Rate Reports

I was going to start doing a monthly column detailing what I to be happening in the mortgage world. Now I am no professional in the world of mortgages but I do have at least a litle more insight into what is going on than most.

Even with that being said I felt that it would be better to do a monthly mortgage rate report at one of CT House Hunting’s sister site. Yes, I do maintain this other website but I also working on bringing in guest columnists from the mortgage industry as well.

I feel that it is more appropriate to keep these two topics separate so that here we can focus on Stratford real estate, as well as the surrounding area.

I already maintain an informative website about shopping for mortgages and comparing rates. The website does not change as this advice is timeless. However what does change is rates and the market. I get a lot of questions about current rates and what is going on in the mortgage and banking industry.

I don’t want to leave any of you in the dark so I will share my thoughts, just not here on this website. With that in mind, I have created a blog that will be updated at least monthly on my mortgage website. I’ll let you know what I think about current rates and where I believe they may be headng in the short term. Trust me, predicting short term rates is not an exact science but I’ll do my best.
